Arapaima gigas
The Arapaima is one of the biggest freshwater fish in the wild and is also known as the Pirarucu in South America. It originates from the Amazon Basin.
Very uncommon to see this beastly monster fish in the monster fish keeping hobby!
These juveniles are tank-raised so they are much more tolerable of water conditions compared to ones directly imported from fishermen from the Amazon.
CITES permit on hand, approved for export to states where Arapaima is not banned.
Current size is around 4" - 5" or so.
